Felda Yeung
What is your current role, or what are you working on?
I am a Dispute Resolution Partner at Gall, a leading independent law firm in Hong Kong. I specialise in complex commercial disputes and shareholder disputes as well as co-head the firm’s contentious employment practice.
I am also currently Chairlady of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (East Asia Branch) Young Members Group Committee, a co-opted member of the Ciarb (EAB) Committee and a member of British Chamber of Commerce's Women in Business Committee.
What is your proudest achievement?
A personal highlight for me was becoming a mother and a Partner within a 12-month period. I am most proud when young practitioners say I inspire them, and that I’m able to offer them some solace and guidance.
There are now 25 hours in a day! How would you spend your extra hour?
I would spend the additional hour with my 3-year-old daughter, doing whatever she fancies from reading stories to making arts and crafts.
If you weren't a lawyer, what would you do?
There are so many options! I would perhaps be a psychologist or travel guide.
Your favourite food haunt is...?
Any authentic cha chaan teng for a local Hong Kong breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast together with mock abalone and shredded ham on macaroni in soup . This would of course need to be accompanied by a Hong Kong-style milk tea served in an iconic Black & White cow cup.
